New helpstuff site/blog in development. If you find this, feel free to follow along!
The site will use WordPress with Thesis. It’s been awhile since I played with PHP, but Thesis makes it easy because of the hooks. The hard part is creating custom functions, but the folks in the support forums of DIYThemes are incredible…all sorts of code snippets and instructions.
So after various fits and starts, I finalized a design I liked. I’m still missing Search, but I got the vertical navigation working. (Yay!)
The site uses WordPress and Thesis. We like Thesis so much that we’re now affiliates, which lets us use it when developing sites for our clients. (We’re using Thesis for many of the new sites that we’re developing.)
Soon…very soon…I’ll be able to take this site live. I’ve set it up so that my system administrator can flip a switch somewhere so that links to the old pages end up at the new site. Then I can get to blogging and keeping everything updated
