Is anyone else getting "targeted spam"?

This is something new (and definitely not exciting). We all know that we get spam, some of us more than others ;-) But lately, the spam that's trying to sneak its way through almost looks applicable, with subject lines like "Fix your documentation", "get Help now", "need help with documentation", etc.

I catch it before it gets to my system by using MailWasher, which lets me preview my incoming email. (And Spam Assassin is running on the server, which catches a lot of the other stuff.) Now that spammers are back to sending attachments (like gifs), I like that I can delete it right from the server without taking any chances.

Loved MailWasher, used it for many years. Had one rule I wrote to nail spam that spoofed my own email addresses, the rule checked the computer name of the sending PC.

Two things caused me to discontinue using MailWasher.
1) The missus hated, loathed, the fact that MailWasher was a separate process from checking the email. She likes the integrated solutions from other providers, such as Norton and ZoneLabs.

2) Every four months or so, MailWasher would crash and take out my preferences files, requiring me to use a backup. This destruction of data made me nervous about the product. Tech support was no help (they said, use your backups).
